Inclusive theatre «Taganka Shed» - we are with you for two years already!
26/04/2010
We are pleased to inform about two important and amazing events which marked the life of Taganka Children's Fund this April. Both these events were devoted to the final stage of the unique project «Inclusive theatre «Taganka Shed» realised by TCF in partnership with Chickenshed theatre company (London) and under the financial support of the European Union.
In April "Taganka Shed" celebrated the second year of their work, by presenting their first long-awaited performance - «Under the dome of the circus». The performance took place on the 22nd of April, at the theatre centre «At Strastnoy». There were no vacant seats in the hall, as after two years of the project existence in Moscow the theatre «Taganka Shed» gained a lot of new friends and admirers who were looking forward to seeing the show. Performance united talents and ideas of forty theatre members of different ages, interests and abilities. This evening proved that creativity, as well as our theatre, has no limits and can be accessible to all and everyone who is open to it.
On April, 23rd the seminar devoted to the development of the inclusion in the modern Russian society took place in the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation. The seminar was organized in order to show the results and share the experience of the two-year work of "Taganka Shed", but it turned out that it raised a wider range of problems. Participation of the representatives of others NGOs working with the disabled, representatives of local authorities, representatives of Moscow education and health societies and social protection institutions allowed us to organise a remarkably interesting and significant event. Lots of different aspects and important problems connected with the ways of creating a truly inclusive environment not only in Moscow but across Russia were discussed during the seminar’s sessions.
We thank all people who came to the theatre «At Strastnoy» and supported us during our first performance and those who took part in the seminar, because our main aim is to spread and share the philosophy of the inclusive creative process with all who care and are interested in it. We are always glad to see new participants in our theatre and new spectators at the performances of the inclusive theatre «Taganka Shed».
